Description

Lucía Carballal has one of the most interesting voices in contemporary Spanish dramaturgy. After the success of Los nuestros [Ours] (2024), and La fortaleza [The Fortress] (2024), where she explored the family ties, she has now decided to talk about love with this ‘romantic drama’, which is also a comedy.

Clara and Ona, two thirty-something women, love each other and want to get married. One comes from a working-class family, and the other from a bourgeois family. Their wedding day is going to test their love. Romantic or not.

What is the meaning of commitment today? How does social class influence the concept of love? What is the value of telling someone:
‘I’ll love you forever’?
